The LED lighting is a nice addition and the inside storage bins have an additional shelf that folds up beneath itself so that you can store large items. The drawers come with temperature controls so that you can set them for Beverage, Meat, or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, however I found their textured plastic coatings a bit hard on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator has all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator within this price range. This includes Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app is available for iOS and Android devices and lets you control your refrigerator from anywhere in the globe. It also comes with a lot of customization options. It will also send notifications when the door is unlocked, when the fridge or freezer must be defrosted and when the filter has to be changed.

It is nice if GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill, an option available in a handful of GE refrigerators that allows users to choose the number of cups they would like to dispense. It does have a countdown on the fridge display to show how much water you have left, but it's not as useful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a striking piece. It's designed to appear like it's a seamless part in your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. This fridge was rated the top in our Refrigerators Test for several reasons. Its freezer temperatures remained constant at just above 0°F and never changed more than a fraction - this is essential to avoid the risk of a freezer burn. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the fridge has a standard French-door layout with gallon-sized door bins on each door and two rows of shelves for spill-capture and a set more spacious drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded in order to create more space for tall items. You'll also find a full-width deli drawer and an internal water dispenser.

This refrigerator is equipped with an ice maker making it easy to move the ice when needed. The freezer also features thoughtful design features, such as sliding drawers that help you sort your things. It also has a large container to store frozen food items, and a separate container for ice.

Another awesome feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. It allows you to control the temperature of your fridge, lighting, and more via your smartphone. It's a nice method of monitoring and managing your refrigerator, especially if you're away from home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat however it doesn't enhance the performance of the fridge. In fact it took a bit longer to defrost and chill foods in this fridge than some of the others we test. This is probably due to its greater capacity.

Another issue with the door of this refrigerator. The handles with a sunken design let shorter people open them from the bottom. However taller people have a difficult time closing them without slamming them. It would have been much better if they had a front-mounted handle.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is a great choice for those who want to combine the aesthetics of a French-door refrigerator with a more efficient design. Its capacity is higher than average for a counter-depth model and it cools well and has a nice layout. It's also a bit cheaper than the most expensive counter depth refrigerator that comes with an icemaker, which makes it a desirable option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a great choice when you're looking for a French door fridge that doesn't break the budget. It's a simple fridge that may not be as eye-catching as some of its competitors however, it does have enough features to make a an excellent option. Its most significant feature, the adjustable temperature drawer, helps to keep food items such as meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser, as well as an excellent Ice machine that is fast.

The "Chill Drawer", which sits above the two crisper bins, is another nice feature. This drawer lets you redirect some of your fridge's cooling power to the area so it can be used to store food items that require extra attention. The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of grey-bodied stainless that has a "smudge proof" finish. It wards off streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've tried.
