WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost in specific statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item level upgrade by 3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.

For example, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item upgrader mod from another player will cost 105.

Upgrades are items that can be used for tools, armor, weapon and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for various currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will show the preview of an item's next level of upgrade, in the event that there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the item slot, and the current level of the item. For instance, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of Flightstones or crests that are used. Once an Item Level Upgrade has been upgraded to a certain level it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests have one purpose therefore it's essential to use them wisely. For instance it's best to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests with the best equipment you have, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you're planning to create.
