1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+, iRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a long time to download updates, and often it's difficult to tell whether the update is working until you see it in the action.

It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and while it lacks some of the features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing sacrifice a little to save a few hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles such as wall legs and table legs which makes it a good option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a area where many cheaper robot vacuums aren't able to meet. The Q5+'s navigation system is also superb, with only a few mishaps along walls or in corners.

The Q5+, just like other Roborock products can be controlled with a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock App. Through the app, you can start and stop cleaning or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you choose the Q5+ it comes with a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once it's installed, the process of emptying the bin is easy. It has a large LCD screen, which is useful when setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This feature isn't essential for everyone, but it can help you to keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot remote vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design is among the top in the market however it's quite expensive.

It's a tiny base station that looks stunning and can be hidden when not in use. The station's main selling point is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, functions and chores that other robots leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot charged and clean.

But the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the house. It's also unable to climb stairs as well as other models and doesn't come with a dock to create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't provide as many in terms of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many in-app shortcuts like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those seeking a great all-round robot vacuum and mop that's worth the higher price cost.

If you're looking to save some money or don't want to think about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of other options available with a wide range of eufy models that cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides the same experience in the app, but with more features like the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of making robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between features, performance and price.
