Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop

If you're looking to clean up messes quickly then a robot vacuum and mop is the way to go. The best robot vacs and mops that I have tested are top-quality in navigation and mapping as well as the ability to remove Cheerios as well as tangled wires, and fake dog turds without leaving them behind.

They're also user-friendly with an app that lets you schedule cleaning tasks and check on how they're up to.

1. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra

If you're looking for the best robot hoover robot vacuum and mop combination with cutting-edge features, look no further than the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. This high-end model is incredibly swift and agile and can pick up dirt such as human hair and pet hair with a near perfect accuracy in our Debris Pickup Test. It also has a smart-looking app interface with a mini map of your house and a few on-screen buttons for manual control.

The S8's Dirt Detection Technology enables it to adjust the cleaning mode according to the level of dirt. It will wash its mopping pads more often when it encounters dust. Carpeted areas are given priority for mopping using a damp mopping pad.

It comes with a range of other smart features also, including an alternative dock that connects to the plumbing in your home to wash and clean the mop roller without needing you to manually refill it. With the built-in voice assistant on the S8, you can use voice commands to control room cleaning modes and precise control with just your voice.

2. Yeedi Cube

If you're looking to buy a hands-free robot vacuum that can mop the Yeedi Cube is one of the more flexible alternatives. It's part of a plethora of robot cleaner vacuums with combo features with mops, but comes at a cheaper price than many of the competitors.

robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpgLike most robot vacuums, the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get started. This involves establishing an account on the app and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once that's done the robot hoover is able to begin vacuuming and mopping with ease.

It's important to note that the mapping process can take a while and may take a few tries before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate view of your space. The object detection is also an issue that is hit-and-miss. It was able skirt around furniture and other obstacles, but got stuck on a looser rug with tassels, and needed to turn to release itself. However, these aren't major issues and the Yeedi Cube is still a great option for those who need an all-in-one cleaning companion.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

robotic-vacuum-cleaner-cleaning-the-room-while-wom-2024-11-07-13-20-10-utc-min-jpg-original.jpgThe Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete offers a three-in-1 home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping features the rotation of the motion, which is similar to hand scrubbing. This means that floors are cleaned and not just cleaned. Its detachable stick-vacuum is a game changer that enables you to get into places that a robotic vacuum can't.

This model is essentially identical to the popular X2 Omni, but with an a bit higher suction capacity of 8700Pa and other smart features. The upgraded RGBD sensor will learn to understand your home's layout better and provide dynamic obstacles avoidance. And the smart app lets you customize various settings that include scheduling, AI cleanings, and setting virtual boundaries.

The X2 Combo is also self-prepping by having both the robot vacuum and mop returning to their charging base after each task to wash their pads and empty their dust bins and then place the debris in a self-sealing bag. This helps keep the system clean and also stops allergens from circulating. And its battery lifespan is long enough to handle large spaces without the need for a recharge during cleaning.

4. Eufy S1 Pro

As one of the more top-quality robot vacuums and mop models, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for the money. It features an impressive 8,000 Pa suction, a rotating floor brush for carpets, and a great obstacle avoidance. It also has a unique mopping method that uses a roller constantly spraying with water to collect dirt and then deposit it into the dirty water tank.

Its navigation system was efficient. It avoided steps and walked close to walls without falling. It struggled with small particles and did not always clear the thresholds in rooms. The operating noise level is also quite high, and it could be a less reliable set-and-forget model than others.

The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, has a a docking system that allows it to replenish its clean water tank, empty the dust bin, wash and dry the mop, and then empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance simple and lets the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors according to a regular schedule. You can control all its functions through the Eufy app. It provides an overview of the system and plenty of configurability.

5. Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is one of the most premium robot vacuums/mowers available, and it offers an impressive mix of mopping and vacuuming performance. The LIDAR sensors for mapping can identify furniture legs, obstacles and other obstacles with a reasonable precision. The app lets users fine-tune the map coverage, set up no-go zones, and even modify their cleaning preferences. The Freo's main roller brush is also designed to stop hair from wrapping around it, which is a major issue with many robotic vacuums.

The Mop Mode is impressive too, with Reuleaux triangular mop pads that spin at 180 RPM and can apply up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system has smart carpet detectors, which raise the pads when they are close to soft surfaces to avoid contamination.

The docking station is designed to function as a hands-free maintenance center, automatically washing and drying the mops, and refilling them with water and detergent. The base station has an integrated dust-processing system that compacts dust, allowing for seven weeks of uninterrupted maintenance.

6. S10

A few hundred dollars less than the S8 and this robot does a bang-up job of keeping my home office spotless and also take on the corners of my cramped apartment. It uses laser mapping system and camera to create a 3D model of your home so that it knows what to stay clear of. In addition, unlike other vacuums with mopping capabilities, it has object/obstacle detection that avoids things like bowls and dog toys (but not poop!).

Other fantastic features include a self-emptying dustbin and a mop that is self-washing, adjustable for water temperature, and a side-reaching mops that can reach areas that other mops cannot reach. You can also set cleaning schedules in the app and customize settings for every room in your home.

Similar to the S8 model, it comes with multi-room smart mapping and can differentiate between carpets, laminate and hardwood rugs with high-pile. It can also skip cleaning rooms that aren't filthy if you're trying to reduce time. If you have a variety of flooring in your house and don't wish to spend more money on a Roborock that has advanced mapping features this is an excellent option.

7. Q5 Pro

This robot is an excellent choice if you are looking for a versatile robot that can do both regular maintenance and touch-ups to wet messes. It comes with a wide range of features, including a self emptying dustbin and a separate dock for refilling water, and adjustable settings through the app. It's extremely quiet and is able to easily move around furniture legs or socks. However, it can't remove tangled rug tassels and it's battery drains slightly quicker than other models we tested in our tests.

With a price tag of less than $250 and less than $250, the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly machine that packs a lot of suction and useful automation into a sleek. It wasn't as efficient as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our vacuuming tests however, it did quite well. It also offers a selection of cleaning options to meet your needs, from the low-power 'Quiet' mode for light debris to the more robust 'Turbo' mode that is ideal for rooms with carpet. It will even automatically remove and reattach the mop pads without causing your carpets soaked.

8. K10 Plus

The K10 Plus is an excellent robot mop and vacuum that can be used in smaller spaces. It's extremely quiet and speedy, and it does a good job of getting around tight spots. It also does a good job of removing pet hair off carpeting.

It's smaller than its rivals however, it doesn't compromise any features. It has a decent amount of suction power, and it can be configured to take photos of any object it comes across (i.e. chew toys or socks, etc.)) and mark them as 'not found' in the app so that they won't be removed during subsequent cleanings. The photos are encrypted and aren't tied to your account.

It does a fantastic job of vaccuming, but it isn't as effective at mopping. It uses disposable wet wipes that you clip onto the bot's bottom, and then it drags them around the floor. Compare this with the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal, which have water reservoirs and automatically wash and reattach their mopheads.
